Buyer help: before and after you buy

Answers to the questions readers send most often about discounted subscriptions, game accounts and 3D models. We compare offers; we don't sell them, so orders, refunds and replacements are handled by the seller you buy from.

At a glance

Cheap subscription offers are usually a seat on a shared plan, a private account the seller created, or a top-up/gift card applied to your own account. Top-ups and gift cards keep your own login and history; shared seats are cheapest but can be reset by the provider. Buy through the marketplace's own checkout, keep your order number, and contact the seller's support first if access stops.

Shared, private, top-up: what am I buying?

The same brand can be sold four very different ways. The type decides the price, the risk and whether you keep your own history.

What is a shared account or shared seat?
You get a login, profile or seat on a plan that other buyers also use. It is the cheapest option. You can't change the password or billing, other users may see some activity, and the provider can reset the account because sharing outside a household or team usually breaks its terms.
What is a private account?
The seller gives you an account that only you use, usually created and paid for by the seller. It costs more than a shared seat and is less likely to be reset by other users' behaviour, but it is still not billed in your name, so it can stop if the seller's payment is reversed.
What is a top-up, recharge or upgrade on my own account?
The seller applies the subscription to the account you already have, through a gift card, an activation code or a family/team invite. You keep your own email, history and settings. It is usually the safest marketplace option, and for AI tools it keeps your chats private.
Which type should I choose?
For anything personal (AI chats, email, documents, payment-linked apps) prefer a top-up or private account. For streaming you watch on one screen, a shared profile is the cheapest choice if you accept that it may need replacing. Check what the listing title says: 'shared', 'private', 'own account' or 'recharge'.

Delivery and getting access

Most subscription orders are delivered digitally, but 'instant' depends on the product and the seller's stock.

How fast is delivery?
Automatic listings usually deliver login details or a code to your order page within minutes. Top-ups and invites to your own account are often processed manually and can take from a few minutes to a day. The listing shows the expected time; if it passes, contact the seller from the order page before opening a dispute.
Where do I find my login or code?
In your order or subscription page on the marketplace you bought from (for example the GamsGo user center or your G2G/Z2U order). Sellers also email it in some cases. Copy details from the order page rather than from chat messages that ask you to go elsewhere.
The login asks for a verification code. What do I do?
Shared and private accounts often trigger an email or phone check. Use the verification method the seller gives in the order instructions, or message the seller from the order. Don't try repeated logins: that can lock the account for every user.

Warranties, refunds and when access stops

Discounted access can stop mid-term. What protects you is the seller's warranty and the marketplace's dispute process, not the original provider.

What happens if my account stops working?
Contact the seller's support from your order with a screenshot of the error. Resellers such as GamsGo state an after-sales warranty for the paid period: they repair the seat, give you a replacement, or refund the unused part. On G2G and Z2U the marketplace holds payment in escrow until you confirm delivery, so report problems before confirming.
What is GamsGo's refund policy?
For plans GamsGo sells itself, its refund policy allows a refund within 24 hours of purchase (minus fees), for duplicate payments, for non-delivery, or for technical problems it can't fix; partial refunds are pro-rated and a 15% service fee applies after 30 days of use. Credit-based products are non-refundable once credits are used. Refunds go to your GamsGo wallet by default, or to the original payment method on request. For marketplace listings, the seller gets 12 hours to fix a non-working login, and you can escalate to GamsGo if the seller doesn't reply within 48 hours. Check the current policy at gamsgo.com/refund-policy before buying.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds depend on the seller's policy. They are usually given when an order is not delivered or the account fails and can't be replaced; they are rarely given for a change of mind once a working code or login has been delivered. Read the refund section of the listing before paying.
Will the original company (Netflix, OpenAI, Adobe…) help me?
Usually not. The provider sees the account owner as the customer, not the reseller's buyer, and resold or shared access may break its terms. Keep your order number and deal with the seller.
Does the subscription renew automatically?
Reseller plans normally end after the period you paid for and do not charge you again unless you buy another period. A top-up on your own account may switch back to the provider's normal billing if you left a card on file, so check your own account's billing settings.

Safety, terms of service and scams

Cheap offers sit in a grey area. Knowing where the risk is lets you keep it small.

Is buying a cheap subscription legal?
Buying a gift card or a legitimate licence key is generally lawful. Shared logins and resold accounts usually breach the provider's terms of service rather than criminal law, and the consequence is that the provider can close the account. Rules on reselling software licences differ by country.
How do I avoid scams?
Pay only inside the marketplace's checkout, never by direct transfer or gift card to a seller. Don't move a conversation to Telegram, WhatsApp or email. Be wary of prices far below every other listing, new sellers with no reviews, and anyone asking for your own account password.
Should I give a seller my own password?
Only for a top-up that genuinely needs it, from a seller with a long positive history, and change the password immediately afterwards. Many top-ups work through an invite or a code and need no password. Never share passwords you use on other sites.
Is it safe to use a shared AI account for work?
No. Other users of a shared ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini account can see the chat history and uploaded files. Use a private account or a top-up on your own account for anything confidential.

Regions, VPNs and languages

Many plans are sold for a specific country. A mismatch is the most common reason a working account looks broken.

Why does my account show a different country's catalogue or language?
Shared streaming accounts are often registered in another country, and the catalogue follows the account's region and your IP address. You can usually change the profile language yourself; the catalogue stays tied to the region.
Do I need a VPN?
Only if the listing says the service is restricted to a region you aren't in. Using a VPN to reach another country's catalogue can breach the service's terms, and services block known VPN addresses. Region-locked game keys won't activate outside their region even with a VPN on many platforms.

Payments and privacy

How you pay affects what you can recover if something goes wrong.

Which payment method is safest?
A credit card or PayPal through the marketplace checkout gives you a chargeback or dispute route if the marketplace fails to resolve a problem. Crypto and bank transfers can't be reversed. Use the marketplace's own dispute process first; a chargeback can get your marketplace account closed.
Do you see my payment or order details?
No. GlobalDealScout is a comparison site. When you click an offer you leave this site and pay the merchant directly; we only receive an anonymous referral commission for some sales.

Game keys, game accounts and pre-orders

A key adds a game to your own account; a game account means using someone else's.

What is the difference between a game key and a game account?
A key or code is redeemed on your own Steam, PlayStation, Xbox or Epic account and the licence stays with you. A game account (often 'offline' or 'shared') is someone else's account with the game on it: cheaper, but it can be reclaimed, and online play may be banned.
Are pre-order accounts safe?
Pre-order accounts and keys are only delivered or usable after the official release, so you pay before you can test them. Buy from sellers with a long history on an escrow marketplace and check the listing's refund terms in case the release date moves.

3D character models

Our 3D model pages link to Superhive (formerly Blender Market) creator listings.

What file formats and Blender versions do the models support?
It varies by model. Read the creator's product page for file formats, Blender version, rig controls and render engine. Our pages only state specifications the creator lists; we have not tested every download.
Can I use the models commercially?
Superhive products come with the licence chosen by the creator, shown on the product page. Check it before using a model in a paid project, game or client work.
Who do I contact about a broken model file?
The creator, through Superhive. Superhive handles purchases and its own refund policy; we only link to the listing.

About the prices on this site

We compare; we don't sell. Here is how to read the numbers.

Why is the price at the seller different from your page?
Each page shows prices recorded on the date stated on it. Sellers change prices, stock and promotions without notice, and some prices depend on plan length or currency. The seller's checkout price is the one that applies.
How do you choose the official price you compare with?
We use the provider's own US pricing page where it is available, or dated reporting on a price change when the page can't be read. Annual and monthly billing are labelled. Some services price only in local currency, which we show as is.
How do I report a wrong price, an expired code or a broken link?
Use the contact page with the page address and what you saw. We re-check the listing and update or remove it.
